Shipping Policy

Ready to wear pieces will be handed over to DHL Courier services within 5 business days from the time payment is received.

Customizable Pieces that include concrete include a maximum production time of 20 business days.

The preparation period starts once the full payment is received.
The preparation period does not include shipping time. See below.

Time frame

I use DHL Express to courier for domestic and international shipping to ensure your pieces arrive safely. Deliveries are made within 2 – 3 business days.

Your address

Pieces are couriered directly to the physical address you provide at checkout. Unfortunately, shipment cannot be made to a PO Box address.

Cost

The cost of shipping depends on your location.

The following are an estimate for shipping costs to various destinations. These estimates exclude customs and taxes.

Domestic Shipping

Standard packages to Johannesburg and Pretoria are R140. Standard packages to other destinations in South Africa are R185.

These rates may increase if multiple pieces are shipped and the package weight exceeds 0.5kg.

International Shipping

Individual Night Shine Candy pieces plus packaging weigh less than 0.5kgs and thus the rates will fall within these ranges R180 to R310, depending on your location.

These rates do not include customs and taxes.

If you want more than one item but are worried about courier costs

If you want to purchase multiple items and the weight with the gift boxes is above 1.0kg for domestic and 0.5kg for international, I can try to lower the total weight by excluding gift boxes and using lighter packing materials.

Please note: The package weights are already in the online shipping plug in so please contact me via email before following through with the checkout. Your Items will be kept in your cart for 24 hours.

Bonus for Fabulous Customers

If your purchase has a total piece value of over R5500, Night Shine Candy will cover your shipping fees for couriering the package to you.

This can be either for one piece or for a combined purchase of multiple pieces as long as the purchases are sent to a single destination.

International Shipping Customs and Taxes

Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the price of the piece or shipping charges. These charges are the customer’s responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be before making the purchase.

Shipping Security - For security purposes, your parcel will be marked as a “Lifestyle Accessory” and “Rocks” where applicable.
Value Disclosure – The full value of the piece will be disclosed on customs forms.

Insurance

Kindly note, all Night Shine Candy Jewelry is insured whilst it is in transit up until hand over? This cost is covered by Night Shine Candy not by the customer.

Your piece will be tucked away safely in a reusable, complimentary gift box. This in turn will be stored in recyclable protective packaging.

For Purchases over R1800 (excluding shipping), your piece will arrive in the complimentary luxury edition gift box.

You will receive an email that says the piece is on its way, including a photo of the piece just as it is about to go into the box.

I will notify you via email at different points in the journey:

When the package has handed on to the DHL courier.
When the package clears customs (as well as notify you if there are any delays).
When the package is back with DHL in your country and is on its way to you.

DHL offers door to door service and requires an electronic signature from you on delivery.

If you miss the DHL Delivery Person

If for some reason no one is available to sign for the package at the given address when the DHL courier arrives, then DHL will attempt delivery another two times. If no one is available after the third attempt, the package will be shipped back to me.

In this case, I will contact you and you can choose one of the following:

I can resend the package but the you will be liable for both sets of shipping costs and the return costs.
Alternatively, I will refund you for the amount of the piece- minus the courier and customs duties fees - once the item is returned to me by DHL.

Delays

In the event of an unavoidable delay, you will be notified via email in a timely manner. Night Shine Candy cannot be held responsible for shipping delays caused by strikes, customs inspections or bad weather.

The Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 ("ECT Act") entitles you to cancel your purchase within 14 days’ notice if the products you have purchased are not be delivered within the agreed delivery period as specified in the Night Shine Candy shipping policy.

In this case an email must be sent to Night Shine Candy titled ”Request for cancelation due to delivery delay” within the 14 day notice period. Once the package is returned to me, I will refund you for the value of the piece and the shipping costs.
